Given the team's recent moves, it might seem like every trade the Atlanta Braves make these days is with the Angels, and that's not far from the truth. Four of the last five trades the Angels have made have been with the Braves, while four of the last six trades the Braves made have been with the Angels. The Angels have even stolen several coaches along with signing former beloved Braves players.
Additionally, ever since Perry Minasian left his job as the Braves vice president of baseball operations to take the general manager role with the Angels in November of 2020, Atlanta and Los Angeles have made a jaw dropping 10 trades with each other.
Here is every trade the two clubs have made since November 12, 2020, chronologically.
Every Braves trade with the Angels since November 2020
February 25, 2021: Braves trade Jack Mayfield for cash
The first trade the two clubs made after Minasian took over as the Angels GM is one that likely went well under the radar. Jack Mayfield was ony a Brave for a few months during the offseason, and only appeared in three games for the Angels before being DFA'd.
He'd eventually rejoin the Angels after a stint with the Mariners, but this trade likely helped out neither team.
July 4, 2022: Angels acquire Touki Toussaint for cash
A much more notable name for Braves fans, Touki Toussaint was a once promising prospect for the Braves, but had flamed out by the time he joined the Angels, and had actually been designated for assignment prior to the Angels trading for him.
Toussaint was decent in 2022 for the Angels in his 25.1 innings, finishing with a 4.62 ERA.
August 2, 2022: Braves trade Jesse Chavez and Tucker Davidson for Raisel Iglesias
This was the first notable trade Perry Minasian made with Alex Anthopoulos, as the Angels GM shipped off closer Raisel Iglesias, who had just re-signed Iglesias the previous offseason, for Jesse Chavez and starting lefty Tucker Davidson.
Neither Davidson nor Chavez provided any value for the Angels (and Chavez was even back with the Braves by the end of the month), while Iglesias has been an absolutely lights out closer, with a 1.96 ERA, 2.67 FIP, and 68 saves in 151.1 innings since joining the Braves.
December 8, 2023: Angels acquire Evan White and Tyler Thomas for Max Stassi and David Fletcher
While this was certainly a trade that involved MLB names, it hasn't done much for either team. White played two MiLB games for the Angels last season, Thomas had a 5.44 ERA in AAA, Stassi was out of the Braves the very next day, and David Fletcher started throwing knuckleballs after a five game MLB stint.
We will keep posting hitters who look silly against David Fletcher's knuckleball.

May 2, 2024: Braves trade cash for Jimmy Herget
Jimmy Herget pitched decently for the Braves, finishing with a 4.38 ERA in 12.1 innings. Hopefully Minasian bought the Angels staff a nice steak dinner with the cash, or something.
May 9, 2024: Angels acquire Luis Guillorme for cash
Luis Guillorme was a Brave long enough to give up a grand slam to his former team, double agent style. Hopefully Anthopoulos bought the Braves staff a nice steak dinner with the cash, or something.
October 31, 2024: Braves trade Jorge Soler for Griffin Canning
It felt like Alex Anthopoulos was waiting for the second the postseason to end to send Jorge Soler somewhere. The Angels obliged, with the trade becoming official 14 hours after the World Series ended.
The Braves non-tendered Canning shortly after the trade, showing the Braves were just intent on offloading Soler's contract.
December 20, 2024:Angels acquire Mitch Ferris for Davis Daniel
Davis Daniel is still in the Braves organization and Mitch Ferris is still in the Angels organization. Both of them appeared in one spring training game for their respective organizations, and combined for 3.2 innings of scoreless baseball.
March 17, 2025: Angels acquire Angel Perdomo for cash
Angel Perdomo was traded to the Angels after the Braves decided he wouldn't make the Opening Day roster. It was another cash transaction coming back to Atlanta, so I suppose thr Braves staff called for another nice dinner.
March 23, 2025: Braves trade Ian Anderson for José Suarez
Finally, the most recent trade between the two clubs to date, as the Braves shipped off the last Braves starting pitcher standing from the 2021 playoffs (not including Dylan Lee and Jesse Chavez) to the Angels in exchange for struggling lefty José Suarez.
It's certainly one of the harder trades to stomach for the sentimental Braves fan, especially after how well Ian Anderson pitched in his first two seasons with the Braves prior to struggling with injuries. Hopefully this trade will give the 26-year-old a chance to reset and get back on track.
