The time has finally arrived. After years where the Atlanta Braves had to be resigned to the fact that all of their success meant they would be picking low every year, the Braves are officially a lottery team and have a chance to get the first overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. To find out exactly where they will be picking, it is time to follow along with the MLB Draft Lottery.
A relatively recent addition to the game of baseball during the last round of labor negotiations, the top six picks are randomized among eligible teams (playoff teams are out as are teams with certain payroll constraints that have picked in the lottery too often) with the odds being weighted based on 2025 team records.
The Braves enter the Draft Lottery for the 2026 MLB Draft with the sixth-best odds of landing the first overall pick. Atlanta is extremely likely to land a high pick, but exactly where they pick could be the difference between landing a franchise player or ending up with another bust.
