The expectation around the Atlanta Braves coaching staff is that some amount of turnover is coming after longtime manager Brian Snitker announced his transition into an advisory role a week ago. This isn't uncommon when the head man in the dugout is changed, and around Major League Baseball there are several managerial openings that could be of interest to Atlanta's current coaches.
According to Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic, Brian Snitker may not be the only member of the coaching staff who could leave their role this winter. Ghiroli reported in her latest article that Atlanta has granted members of the coaching staff permission to interview with other teams. Walt Weiss was the only name mentioned outright, but it's not hard to piece together which other coaches are drawing interest around the league.
According to this, the Braves have given the coaches on their staff permission to interview for other jobs, which is certainly notable. Very likely Snitker isn’t the only departure from the staff. https://t.co/elfFlw1kGg

Braves' coaches granted permission to interview with other teams
A veteran coach like Fredi Gonzalez will probably at least draw a few courtesy interviews due to his time in the league and previous managerial experience. Rick Kranitz and Tim Hyers are both coaches who have been around (and had a ton of success) for awhile, so it is not hard to imagine other teams having interest in them for similar hitting/pitching coach roles.
This only adds more value in the Braves operating an extensive managerial search. The Rangers may have moved quickly on their coaching change, but until other teams begin to follow suit, you should expect the Braves to be deliberate here. News around which potential names Atlanta has interest in aren't likely to leak, but their current coaching staff could have their names floated around as other teams progress through their coaching search.
The Braves coaching staff has been the definition of stability, and some may disregard opportunity elsewhere in favor of the comfort they have found in Atlanta. However, there is also reason to believe some coaches may have preferred to only coach in Atlanta with Brian Snitker. Now that Snitker has moved out of the dugout, some coaches may seek opportunity elsewhere. Time will tell which version ends up being true.
