Predicting which Braves will make the 2026 All-Star team

There might be a lot of boos in Philadelphia this July.

The 2026 Atlanta Braves will likely have no shortage of representation at the 2026 All-Star Game, hosted in their rival Philadelphia Phillies' home ballpark. With the most wins in baseball, the best ERA in baseball, and the second-most runs through the first 52 games of the season, the Braves have plenty of worthy candidates.

While there will certainly be some Braves who are snubbed from the Midsummer Classic, Atlanta is still primed to lead the league in All-Stars this season.

An early pass at predicting the Braves' 2026 All-Stars

Matt Olson and Chris Sale are the two Braves who are essentially shoo-ins to represent the National League this July. Olson has not only been one of the best first basemen in baseball this year, he's been one of the best players. His 2.2 fWAR currently places him 14th in MLB among all players.

Sale has put away any doubt (if there was doubt to begin with) that his broken rib from last year would slow him down. Through his first 10 starts, Sale ranks 15th in MLB in fWAR and fifth in MLB in ERA among qualified pitchers.

Drake Baldwin would be the Braves third shoo-in All-Star if not for his oblique injury. Even after missing the last four games, Baldwin is still 10th in MLB in fWAR among all players. It all comes down to when Baldwin is able to return from his injury. If Baldwin could even return by mid June, it seems difficult to leave him off the roster.

Michael Harris II has rebounded after a disappointing 2025, and looks primed to make his first All-Star appearance. At the start of Saturday, the 2022 NL Rookie of the Year was the third-best NL center fielder by fWAR, but had a the highest wRC+ of any center fielder in the NL.

Raisel Iglesias, Robert Suarez, and Dylan Lee have been three of the best relievers in the National League by ERA, and it's highly likely at least one of these relievers makes the All-Star team. Iglesias would be most likely since he's the Braves closer, but Suarez's sub-1.00 ERA would be hard to ignore.

Bryce Elder could easily find himself in his second career All-Star Game, but with limited slots for starting pitchers, and with so many starting pitchers having excellent seasons as well, he'll more than likely find himself snubbed.

Inversely, Ronald Acuña Jr. isn't having the a great season, but his star power could easily elevate him to start in right field for the National League. Ozzie Albies and Dominic Smith are also long shot possibilities for the Midsummer Classic.

With that in mind, the Braves will likely see Chris Sale, Matt Olson, Michael Harris II, Raisel Iglesias, and Robert Suarez in the All-Star Game in Philadelphia this year, with Drake Baldwin as an easy add as long as he's healthy before July.
