The offseason is finally coming to an end and the Atlanta Braves will certainly look different for the 2025 season. The biggest differences are obviously the departure of Max Fried and the fortuitous addition of Jurickson Profar to the lineup, but the bullpen is getting a new look and many of the Braves' depth pieces have changed up.
If you ask Braves fans, they will say that all they really want is to not suffer through another season bombarded by injuries to key players. It sounds like Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna Jr. are on the mend and should return in May and one just hopes it stays that way. Braves fans are going to be eager to see if Atlanta can rebound from a tough season.
As to how exactly to watch the Braves try to regain their former glory in 2025, well...we have you covered with all the details.
How to watch the Braves on cable in 2025
Unlike many teams, the Braves' TV situation remains mostly unchanged as they were one of the few teams that Diamond Sports was willing to keep the TV rights at the same rate as previously as they emerged from bankruptcy. There was a rebrand away from Bally Sports to FanDuel Sports, but that is mostly a cosmetic difference.
Most Braves games will continue to be broadcasted on FanDuel Sports South or FanDuel Sports Southeast which serves most of the southeast US. Florida is an important exception here as the stubbornly persistent blackout restrictions remain given that the Rays and Marlins play down there which makes watching local Braves broadcasts in Florida a tad more difficult.
The exact games that will be broadcasted by FanDuel isn't locked in just yet and is subject to change as the national broadcasts get locked in, but ESPN generally will have the information on each Braves game once it becomes available. If you are ever unsure as to where you can watch a given game, checking your local FanDuel Sports South or FanDuel Sports Southeast channel is a very safe bet.
The Braves also announced a deal with Gray Media to broadcast 15 games in 2025 simultaneously with FanDuel as a bit of an experiment. The channels you are looking for there are Peachtree TV Atlanta's CW as well as the Peachtree Sports Network if you are in the Atlanta area with others like the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network, the Tennessee Valley Sports & Entertainment Network, and some of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network's affiliates.
Given how good the Braves are expected to be and how tough the NL East race is certainly going to be, Atlanta is going to have some games on the national broadcasts already. During the first two months of the season, the Braves will be on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball twice (3/30 and 5/4) and will almost certainly get more national games added as the season progresses.
Channel | Braves Coverage Area |
---|---|
FanDuel South/FanDuel Southeast | Most of the southeast US except Florida |
Gray Media Channels (Peachtree) | Southeast (limited games) |
FS1 or Fox | Nationwide (limited games) |
ESPN | Nationwide (limited games) |
TBS | Nationwide (limited games) |
For those that prefer to listen to the radio broadcast or happen to be traveling while the Braves are playing, the Braves Radio Network serves much of the southeast as well, although the exact station will vary depending on where you live. Make sure to look up where 680 The Fan is listed in your local area, or just use the 680 The Fan app and stream the radio broadcast online.
How to stream the Braves without cable in 2025
For those of you that have cut the cord, you still have plenty of streaming options, but there is going to be some cost associated with it. DirectTV Stream, FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and Youtube TV all provide some level of access to streaming Braves games.
DirectTV Stream and fuboTV are the only two of those options that carry FanDuel Sports South, which is a big deal if you are wanting to watch as many Braves broadcasts as possible. FuboTV currently does not have TBS, while Hulu, Sling, and Youtube TV are only useful for the nationally broadcast Braves games.
How to watch the Braves on FuboTV
Other than the lack of TBS, fuboTV is a great option for those who have cut the cord and want to watch Braves games as well as wide range (as in 200+) of other live local and regional channels. Its base plan does cost $84.99 a month, but that is still a pretty big savings over the vast majority of regular cable packages cost and they do promotions to save on the first month if you want to test the waters. How to watch the Braves on Apple TV's Friday Night Baseball
Apple TV is a relative newcomer to the baseball streaming space and thus far, the schedule of 2025 games has yet to be finalized or released. However, that could change at any moment and three Braves games were added to Apple TV's Friday Night Baseball in March 2023. The slate of MLB games there likely to be small, but here is where you can sign up for it if Braves games end up being broadcast there.
