How to watch Braves games on TV in 2024 with & without cable: Full Streaming Guide
The Atlanta Braves enter the 2024 season as among the league's best teams. Here is how to watch them this season.
After a long and productive offseason, the Atlanta Braves are set to continue their quest to bring another World Series title. The new look Braves include additions Chris Sale, Jarred Kelenic, and Reynaldo Lopez along with arguably the strongest roster top to bottom in the entire league. Given that this team is liable to do something special on any given day, Braves fans will need to know how to watch games in order to not miss out.
One thing to note about the Braves 2024 schedule when it comes to TV broadcasts is that Atlanta tends to bounce around networks when it comes to where games are actually shown. All of this information is subject to change as changes in a channel's programming happen rather regularly and some games can -- and will -- get bumped to different broadcasts including national ones.
With all of the disclaimers out of the way, here is a look at how to watch the Braves in 2024.
How to watch the Braves on cable in 2024
The vast majority of Braves games will be broadcast on Bally Sports South or Bally Sports Southeast which serves most of the southeast. Florida is a notable exception as dumb blackout restrictions with the Rays and Marlins down there make watching local broadcasts decidedly trickier. Exactly which games will be where is still to be determined, but this page will have the information on each Braves game as it becomes available. In short, when in doubt, check your local Bally Sports South or Bally Sports Southeast channel.
Atlanta is also set to be featured on multiple national baseball broadcasts already. FS1 and Fox together have a few games on the schedule, with ESPN Sunday Night Baseball having at least three Braves games being broadcast through May. Finally, old friend TBS does do national baseball broadcasts still from time to time and could end up featuring a couple of games as well, although those games have not been revealed just yet.
Channel | Braves Coverage Area |
---|---|
Bally Sports South/Southeast | Most of the southeast US except Florida |
FS1 or Fox | Nationwide (select games) |
ESPN | Nationwide (select games) |
TBS | Nationwide (select games) |
For those that prefer to listen to the radio broadcast or happen to be traveling while the Braves are playing, the Braves Radio Network serves much of the southeast as well, although the exact station will very from area to area. Make sure to look up where 680 The Fan is listed in your local area, or just use the 680 The Fan app and stream directly online from there.
How to stream the Braves without cable in 2024
For the cordcutters out there, you still have some options, but there is going to be some cost associated with it. DirectTV Stream, FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and Youtube TV all provide some level of access to streaming Braves games.
DirectTV Stream and fuboTV are the only two of those options that carries Bally Sports South, which is a big deal if you are wanting to watch a lot of Braves broadcasts. fuboTV does not have TBS, while Hulu, Sling, and Youtube TV are only useful for the nationally broadcast Braves games.
How to watch the Braves on FuboTV
Other than the lack of TBS, fuboTV is a great option for those who have cut the cord and want to watch Braves broadcasts, along with a very wide range of other live local and regional programming. Its base plan does cost $79.99 a month, but that is a bargain compared to what full cable packages cost these days, and is a great cable replacement. How to watch the Braves on Apple TV
Currently, there are no Braves games slated to be broadcast on Apple TV or Amazon TV, for that matter. However, that could easily change, as three Braves games were added to Apple TV's Friday Night Baseball in March last year. The slate of MLB games there is going to be extremely limited, but here is where you can sign up for it if Braves games end up being broadcast there.
How to order MLB Extra Innings/MLB TV
For the out of market Braves fans out there, and there are many, MLB TV could be a good option as well. It costs $29.99 a month, or $129.99 a year for a single team, and you are subject to blackout restrictions (please get rid of them). For now, though, it is still a great option for those that live outside the southeast US, if you can afford it. To sign up, you can start by clicking here.
