We are just over a month out from the 2024 MLB draft where the Braves saw one of the top high school arms drop to them in the first round, and overall had a very strong draft class. The Braves made 20 selections, headlined by Cam Caminiti and were able to sign all 20 which, again, made that draft class even more impressive. Lets take a look at where they’ve been assigned, and how they’ve done so far.

To start off with, the following players have been assigned to the FCL Braves. What is important to note about the FCL is that their season is over, so this is essentially instructional, or complex ball where the players are working with coaches and engaging in intrasquad scrimmages and drills. Cam Caminiti (1st round pick), Carter Holton (2nd round pick), Luke Sinnard (3rd round pick), Herick Hernandez (4th round pick), Nick Montgomery (5th round pick), Ethan Bagwell (6th round pick).

The following players have not been assigned teams yet: Brett Sears (7th round pick), Logan Samuels (8th round pick), Cayman Goode (12th round pick), Owen Carey (15th round pick), Jake Steels (18th round pick), Dalton McIntyre (19th round pick), Eric Hartman (20th round pick). This could mean a multitude of things including general rest, injury, or just overall a focus on specific skills/drills.

That leaves us with Owen Hackman (9th round pick), Jacob Kroeger (10th round pick), Patrick Clohisy (11th round pick), Colby Jones (13th round pick), Mason Guerra (14th round pick), Titus Dumitru (16th round pick), and Jacob Schafer (17th round pick) who have all been assigned to the Augusta GreenJackets.
