Coming off a rare series loss to the scorching hot Chicago Cubs, the Atlanta Braves will look to turn around their roadtrip in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, it seems as the weather may have other plans for the first of four games between the Braves and the Pirates.

Hopefully, the delay is not too long but the before hand let’s catch you up on the action. Spencer Strider had his worst outing of the season as he failed to get out of a troublesome third inning. The Pirates tagged Strider for six runs in the inning as Strider fought command issues.

Thankfully the Braves answered quickly with four runs of their own, started by an Ozzie Albies solo shot. Each team tacked on a run since and we currently sit at 7-5 Pirates lead after five innings of baseball.

Tonight’s game will resume at 10 PM EST.

While you are waiting we have plenty of content to check out here at the site.

Firstly, we have our game preview with all the details you could ever need. This includes the pitching matchup along with some numbers on one of the hottest hitters in baseball, Braves’ first baseman, Matt Olson.

In some news you may not have heard yet, the Braves announced a certain hall of famer will be joining their broadcast both for two upcoming series. Looking even further ahead, the great Eric Cole put together a list of names you should keep your eye on in the Braves organization as possible offseason trade candidates.

If you have your eye on the Braves future, I would advise passing the time by looking at some of the excellent pieces our team has put out on some key Braves prospects. Most notably, 2023 first round selection, Hurston Waldrep made his pro debut, and it was a rather impressive one for single-A Augusta.

Aside from all that that, we have plenty of other stories here at the site that are well worth the read as you look to pass time until actual baseball is played up in Pittsburgh. Stay tuned as we will pass along updates on potential start time as soon as they are made available.
