Beginning with Ferreira, the 21-year-old has yet to see any in-game action during the 2024 season so far, but joins the Braves after spending some time in the New York Yankees organization in 2022-23.
With both years coming with the DSL Yankees, Ferreira slashed a combined .211/.352/.297 with one HR, 21 RBI, and 17 SB across 49 games between the two, with his 2023 season arguably the better of the two. That year, Ferreira posted a .732 OPS across 21 games, and even saw some time as a pitcher where he owned a 7.71 ERA and 2:0 K:BB ratio across 2.1 IP as a reliever.
Defensively, Ferreira has seen a majority of his time at first base, but has also appeared at both third base and shortstop, as well as in the outfield.
As for De La Rosa, the 20-year-old is slightly more experienced at the professional level than Ferreira, and comes to the Braves after four seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. Different from the aforementioned Ferreira however, De La Rosa has seen action this year, slashing .185/.288/.269 over 34 games with the FCL Cardinals.
Over his career so far, De La Rosa has slashed a combined .242/.354/.381 across 137 games at the Rookie Ball level with St. Louis. De La Rosa also has 10 HR, 61 RBI, and 16 SB during that span, and has split a majority of his time defensively between second and third base.
As mentioned previously, both of Ferreira and De La Rosa were assigned to the DSL Braves, which is where both will now begin their time in the organization.
