It's Chris Sale day in Atlanta as the Braves look to clinch a series victory over the A's behind their red-hot veteran pitcher.
The Braves got off to a great June start with last night's 4-1 win in the series opener against Oakland. Starter Reynaldo Lopez lowered his ERA to a National League leading 1.73 mark. The offense was fueled by a two-run double from Jarred Kelenic as they finally showed some signs of life.
Atlanta currently sits at a 32-23 record, and 6.5 games back of the Phillies (who boast the best record in baseball). This afternoon they will look to clinch a series victory over Oakland behind their star veteran left-hander.

Chris Sale (8-1, 2.12 ERA) is coming off about as stellar a month as you can have. Hopefully, he'll receive word soon that he has been named the NL pitcher of the month. As for now the calendar has flipped to June, and Sale will look to continue his impressive recent run against the A's this afternoon at Truist Park.

Aaron Brooks (0-2, 3.63 ERA) is not the former professional basketball player, but instead a 34 year-old RHP for Oakland. Despite the good ERA, Brooks seems to be in line for some regression based on his batted ball data. Brooks is similar to Oakland's starter yesterday, J.P.
