Schedule

The Braves will play as part of the Grapefruit league that includes the rest of the NL East, as well as the NL Central, AL East, AL Central, and AL West. They will begin on February 25th, 2023, playing 32 games over the course of Spring Training, half of which will be played at CoolToday Park. Roster Preview

The Braves have some holes going into the regular season, with some interesting roster competitions coming into Spring Training. There will be a lot of focus on left field, with the Braves lack depth in and is the only position on the team that has a negative fWAR. Team veterans Eddie Rosario, Marcell Ozuna, along with newly acquired players Jordan Luplow and Eli White will lead the competition in left field. The Braves will also be looking for shortstop replacement with Dansby Swanson leaving the team in free agency. Expect Vaughn Grissom and Orlando Arcia to get a lot of reps at shortstop during Spring Training.

In addition to these positions, there will also be a battle for the fifth spot in the Brave’s pitching rotation. Player leading the competition are veterans Ian Anderson, Bryce Elder, and Mike Soroka. Newly acquired pitcher Lucas Luetge will also be a hot name in the competition due to a stellar 2022 season when healthy.
