The Atlanta Braves have found their power stroke again, looking like a dynamic offense that can make a run in October. In the month of August, Atlanta ranks second in home runs (19), second in slugging percentage (.477), and first in ISO (.223) in all of Major League Baseball.
Matt Olson's hot streak has propelled the team this month, but when you look at the season-long ISO rankings, the Braves are proving they are one of the most powerful lineups in the league. We have repeatedly seen how pitching and homers thrive in postseason play, so it's nice to see Atlanta Braves hitters getting in several home run trots throughout the stretch run of the season.
Atlanta ranks third in MLB with a .171 ISO, but funny enough they are not the ISO leaders in the NL East. That distinction goes to the surprisingly potent Nationals offense, who lead all of baseball with a .188 ISO. Let's take a look at where each team in the NL East ranks in ISO, and how Atlanta's .171 ISO stacks up against potential playoff opponents.

Where the Braves rank amongst their division and other key teams in terms of ISO
The Braves and Nationals are the clear top-two offenses in the NL East in terms of ISO. Meanwhile, Kyle Schwarber's impressive season is carrying the Phillies to an eleventh place ranking (.162 ISO). In the bottom half of the league ISO rankings you will find the Marlins, ranking 17th with a .154 ISO. Hilariously, the team in the basement of the NL East ISO rankings is the most expensive lineup in the division. If you have watched the Mets' awful 2026 season, it is no surprise to see them ranked 20th in ISO with a .153 mark.
Sandwiched between the Nationals and Braves is the American League ISO leader, the New York Yankees. Elsewhere, two potential postseason opponents for Atlanta are grouped within the 4-6 ISO leaders: the Dodgers and Cubs, both of which have a .169 ISO.
Surprisingly, if you want to find the other National League powerhouse team, you will have to scroll down pretty far. The Brewers have the best record in the National League, but they are not dominating teams with a powerful offense. The Brew Crew ranks 26th in ISO with a .143 mark, meaning their lineup does not stack up as well in the power department compared to other National League contenders.
After going through the ISO rankings, one thing is clear: the Braves have a powerful offense, and if they want to beat the best teams when the pressure is highest, they will need to lean on their slugging ability.
