For most of the 2020s, the Atlanta Braves have been known for having a bottom-third farm system. That has been evident in each preseason Top 100 prospects list, as oftentimes the Braves’ representation is limited to just a couple of players.
MLB Pipeline’s 2026 Top 100 Prospect list is no different, as just two Braves made the list. However, the good news is that both players are returnees, meaning the stock of Atlanta’s most promising prospects has not declined. While each player moved only a few spots, the updated rankings should make us feel better about the pitching depth Atlanta is building for future seasons.

JR Ritchie and Cam Caminiti remain only the Braves on the Top 100 Prospects list
JR Ritchie landed at No. 90 in this year’s rendition of the Top 100 list. Last season, Ritchie finished at No. 86, but despite the slight slide, nothing he has shown should create doubt among Braves fans. The 22-year-old right-hander posted a 2.64 ERA with 140 strikeouts in 140 innings across three minor league levels in 2025.
Ritchie finished the year in Triple-A and showcased that he is much closer to graduating from this list next season rather than falling off due to performance. After losing a year of development to Tommy John surgery in 2023, Ritchie was given a bit more freedom this past season and rewarded the Braves with an inspiring 2025 campaign. The belief is that Ritchie has a legitimate shot to pitch his way to Atlanta in 2026.
The other Braves pitcher to make the list is 2024 first-round pick Cam Caminiti. The 19-year-old left-hander landed at No. 68 this season, rising from the No. 72 spot where he finished in 2025. Caminiti is much further from the majors than Ritchie, but his ceiling may be higher. He spent most of 2025 in Low-A Augusta, where he posted a 2.08 ERA with 75 strikeouts in just over 56 innings.
Earlier this offseason, we detailed some of the changes Caminiti made in 2025, which clearly paid off. The 2026 season will be another year of development for the former first-rounder, with most expecting him to spend the bulk of the year at High-A Rome. Should Caminiti continue to blossom in the lower levels of the minors, don’t be shocked if the notoriously aggressive Braves push him quickly through the system. While a 2027 big-league ETA remains our best guess, Caminiti has all the tools to make a significant jump on next season’s Top 100 Prospects list.
