The Atlanta Braves' search for a manager has become a bit tougher over the last week. There are a plethora of teams that now have openings available. Atlanta hasn't said who they're targeting and it is unlikely they will until they have a manager under contract, but a recent piece by MLB insider Mark Bowman at least revealed some ideas/candidates to consider.
However, at a recent game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers, there were a few familiar faces that provided even more speculation for fans.
Alison Mastrangelo of WSB TV reported she ran into Brian Snitker at the game with his wife, Ronnie. The part that sparks some intrigue is he was also there with Braves legend Chipper Jones and former catcher David Ross.

Told Ross hope to see ya in Atlanta soon, (no response about it either way.)
But he is here with Snitker. #ForTheA #gotigers #godawgs #BravesCountry pic.twitter.com/koIVXoFuKX
David Ross was just spotted hanging out with Brian Snitker and Chipper Jones
Ross has been mentioned a few times as a potential fit for taking over the manager spot in Atlanta. He is a former manager with the Cubs and stated he would love to return to the Braves. We don't know who has been contacted yet, and it could simply be a coincidence.
However, it's hard not to think about whether this was more than just friends catching a game together. Snit has taken on a new role as an advisor with the organization, and Chipper is a special assistant for baseball operations.
They both have some say in things within the front office, and they could be talking with Ross about taking over the role next year. We won't know if both things are connected until the manager search is complete.
It would be nice to see that decision made sooner rather than later. But AA has stated he won't be rushing this process to replace Snitker and it is hard to blame him. With the number of candidates available, it's understandable why he would want to take his time.
Ross certainly feels like a frontrunner at the moment. He is very familiar with the organization and the expectations that come with the job. His attitude is right to be a manager and would fight for every player in the clubhouse.
