It is safe to say that the Atlanta Braves not having a settled plan when it comes to broadcasting their games at this point is less than ideal. Reports are that the Braves are trying to build their own network, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more details while also being concerned about potential additional costs. However, the more pressing issue is that no one knew how or even if Braves spring training games could be watched on TV this year.
Thankfully, we have answers to the spring training side of things. On Friday, the Braves announced that they have reached an agreement with Gray Media to expand upon their existing partnership to broadcast 15 spring training games across the southeast.

Braves reveal expanded partnership with Gray Media to air 15 spring training games across the southeast
The Braves previously had a good working relationship with Gray Media thanks to their agreement to broadcast a small slate of regular season games. It feels like a natural fit to expand that partnership in the wake of Atlanta opting out of their TV deal with their serially incompetent former broadcast affiliate.
However, this does feel like a short-term solution to only one part of the problem that the Braves face. We still don't know how to watch regular season games, nor do we know exactly how much revenue Atlanta is going to lose having to do this solo compared to what they were getting. Fans don't like uncertainty when it comes to watching their teams play, and they especially don't like it when that uncertainty could lead to the Braves' having less money at their disposal.
This agreement with Gray Media buys the Braves some time, at least. Fans will be able to watch a good chunk of the spring training schedule and Atlanta can focus on getting their plans in place for broadcasting regular-season games. They may want to finalize those details soon, as fans need to plan for any additional costs, and waiting too long could lead to a failed launch, which is something no one wants.
