Although the 2026 MLB season still has an entire second half to go, and labor negotiations could completely derail parts or all of next season if things get uglier, that didn'tstop Major League Baseball from dropping the 2027 Atlanta Braves schedule.
Two years after a disastrous west coast road trip ruined the Braves 2025 season, Atlanta will once again treck out west to begin the season, and have a brutal turnaround three days later to face one of the best NL teams of the last decade.

2027 Braves just got released and it already has us nervous
The Braves will open next season against the Dodgers, with Opening Day coming on March 25. Two years ago, the Braves were swept in the second series of the year by the eventual World Series champions to start the season 0-7.
After a three game series against L.A., the Braves won't get the benefit of facing another west coast team. Instead, the Braves will face the Milwaukee Brewers, who have won five out of the last six NL Central titles, and are currently well on pace to win their sixth in seven years. The outlook on the Braves 2027 season may very well lie on how well the club can do on their first road trip of the season.
Atlanta's first home series of the year will come on April 2 against the Houston Astros, followed by a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants.
The Braves' first test against NL East opponents will come over a two week span starting on April 9, in which they'll face the Miami Marlins and Washington Nationals over 12 consecutive games. They will then play the New York Mets from April 30 to May 2, and then face the Philadelphia Phillies the following weekend.
The Braves' longest road trip of the year will come from June 7 to June 16, where they'll face the Rockies, Athletics, and Diamondbacks. It is also their second of three "west coast" road trips of the season (albeit this one only features one trip to a state on the coast). The final west coast trip of the season will come on September 14 through 19, where they face the Padres and Giants.
September could be a stressful month for Braves fans, as the club will face the Phillies, Guardians, Dodgers, White Sox, Padres, Giants, Nationals, and Marlins. Of course Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Los Angeles have been staples of the playoffs for the last half decade, while the White Sox, Nationals, and Marlins are teams on the rise with strong youth movements.
Of course, this schedule assumes the 2027 season starts on time, which isn't looking promising at the current moment. Between the labor negotations and the Braves first matchup of the season, the 2027 season is already looking a bit cursed.
