The 2026 MLB Draft starts on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1 PM EST, and there is a lot for the Atlanta Braves to think about in the lead-up to the first round. There are so many ways they can go about trying to get the most talent possible, and they do not get the opportunity to pick this high and with an extra first-round pick very often. Getting this draft right or wrong is going to have some big-time impacts on the franchise for years to come.

So we know the stakes, and we will find out what direction the Braves are going to go this coming weekend. As for the nitty-gritty details regarding the Braves' 2026 draft, including where they are picking and how big of a bonus pool they have, we have you covered.

Braves 2026 MLB Draft: What is Atlanta's draft bonus pool and where are they picking in the first round?

In recent years, the Braves' winning ways, as well as some penalties and/or signing players with qualifying offers attached, resulted in Atlanta picking low in the first round and having among the lowest draft bonus pools in the league. Things are a good bit different this year, however.

While the 2026 draft lottery wasn't overly kind to the Braves, they still own the ninth overall pick in the draft after being one of the worst teams in baseball last year. Thanks to Drake Baldwin winning NL Rookie of the Year in 2025, the Braves also received the 26th overall pick, which is basically a second first-round pick via the Prospect Promotion Incentive (PPI) program. Once you add up the slot values of all the Braves' picks this year, you arrive at their total draft bonus pool of $15,870,800.

Who are experts predicting the Braves will pick?

The Braves are picking right outside the consensus top tier of draft prospects, which makes guessing exactly who they are going to take pick difficult. Recent mock drafts have had the Braves connected to high school LHP Gio Rojas, Georgia Tech OF Drew Burress, and Arkansas catcher Ryder Helfrick with the ninth overall pick. Other draft prospects who have been connected to the Braves, but who may not fit with the ninth pick include UCLA RHP Logan Reddemann, Ole Miss RHP Cade Townsend, and high school outfielder Trevor Condon.
