The Atlanta Braves have already made multiple reunions in the 2025-2026 MLB offseason, as the club re-signed closer Raisel Iglesias and reliever Joel Payamps on MLB deals, and reunited with catcher Chadwick Tromp on a MiLB contract after his stints in two AL East organizations.

However, with the club still having holes to fill in the bullpen, as well as needing to build depth for the rotation, there are still more potential reunions in sight for the Braves. We found four former Braves looking for new teams this offseason who could be possible fits to return to Atlanta.

Here are 4 potential reunions we could see from the Braves next season

Kyle Wright

When Kyle Wright was dealt to the Kansas City Royals after the 2023 season, it was seen as a surprise. Even though he had a disappointing 2023 and was expected to miss the 2024 season with a shoulder injury, he was a year removed from a 21-win season.

As it turns out, the process behind trading him was justified, even though the was negligible. Wright spent the entire 2025 in the minors, struggling in his rehab starts that turned into normal starts after he was optioned. He then suffered an oblique injury at the end of June that knocked him out for the season.

If the Braves were to reunite with Kyle Wright, the former fifth overall pick, it would be in the form of a low risk, high reward minor league deal where Wright attempts to return to his 2023 form.

Michael Soroka

Michael Soroka is another free agent that was once a highly regarded Braves prospect. Like Wright, Soroka's career has been derailed by injuries, but Soroka has at least contributed in MLB games over the last two seasons.

The 28-year-old is coming off another strange season where he spent the first half of the season as a mediocre starter with the Nationals before getting shipped to the Cubs at the deadline, making one start before getting injured, then returning as a reliever.

Soroka, unlike Wright, will likely command an MLB deal, so if he were to return to the Braves, he'd likely cost Atlanta at least $8 million. However, he would offer the team flexibility as a starter or a reliever, and he has shown to pitch quite well out of the bullpen, pitching 42.1 innings with a 2.34 ERA over the last two seasons.

While the Braves re-signing Soroka is the most unlikely of these four players, Alex Anthopoulos's love of flexibilty and reuniting with former players makes it impossible to count out.

Jacob Webb

Jacob Webb's had a rather strange career. Despite pitching in six MLB seasons and compiling 253 innings with a career 2.99 ERA, he's become somewhat of a journeyman.

After stops with the Angels and Orioles since leaving the Braves, Webb pitched the entire 2025 season with the Texas Rangers, pitching 66 innings with a 3.00 ERA.

Webb only made $1.25 million in 2025 and was non-tendered by the Rangers. While he has consistently outperformed his FIP throughout his career, he did do a great job at minimizing hard contact last season. He could be a cheap option for Atlanta to fill the middle of the bullpen.

Sean Newcomb

While Sean Newcomb never lived up to his prospect petigree like Soroka or Wright, injuries haven't been to blame, instead, the former top prospect never fully established himself as a starter thanks in part to command issues.

He's still pitched in the bigs every season since debuting, and last season was actually fairly successful, as he finished the season with 1.7 fWAR and a 2.73 ERA out of the pen.

He'd likely be more expensive than Jacob Webb, but cost less than Michael Soroka while also offering the potential to stretch out into a starter.
