Atlanta Braves fans had to feel good for Ronald Acuña Jr. after he helped lead Venezuela to a Championship win in the World Baseball Classic. Seeing the face of the franchise playing some of the most important baseball of his life is a great time. Venezuela had an incredible run during the WBC as they knocked off Japan, Italy, and the United States.
That really speaks to the pedigree of baseball talent that the country of Venezuela possesses. It clearly meant a lot to every player on the field to bring that trophy home. A win like that can rarely be topped.

However, for Acuña, this WBC win likely has him even more motivated to bring a World Series title to Atlanta.
Ronald Acuña Jr. has all the motivation he needs to bring a World Series home to Atlanta
Acuña Jr. has been a part of some exciting postseason moments with the Braves. No one will ever forget the euphoria of his grand slam against the Dodgers in 2018. Unfortunately, he has never had the opportunity to give fans memorable moments in the World Series. His unexpected injury in 2021 led to the Braves making some important trades that ultimately helped them win it all.
That's why winning it all in the WBC was so important to Acuña. It was the biggest game of his career to this point. How could he not be hungry for more after experiencing that? This could be HUGE for the Braves in 2026.
Acuña Jr. didn't gotten a lot of time with the team in spring training, but he has done well over the seven games played. He has a .294 average with one homer, two doubles, two stolen bases, and four RBI. However, he had some great experience in the WBC that likely has him ready to go at Truist Park on Friday evening.
Braves fans know what happens when a determined Acuña hits the field. They could be in for one of the best seasons of his career. Hopefully, he will help lead the team to their second World Series title in five years.
