The Atlanta Braves' offense has been so good that through their first 25 games, they are the only team in MLB history to post a +50 or better run differential, 30+ home runs, 200+ pitching strikeouts, and no blown saves.

Not only that, but the 2026 Braves have the best record in baseball at 18-8. Their 62+ run differential is the best in baseball as well. Here is where Atlanta ranks in baseball in multiple offensive categories:

Hits: 247 (1st)
RBI: 146 (1st)
Runs: 150 (1st)
Average: .274 (2nd)
Home runs: 37 (2nd)
Slugging %: .455 (2nd)
OPS: .795 (2nd)
On-base %: .390 (5th)

Right now, the Braves offense looks like it could be special

It's absolutely impressive to see the amount of success Atlanta has shown in the early weeks of the 2026 season. Their performance might be better than how they started the 2023 season. Fans will remember that being the year the Braves shattered offensive records. It was a lot of fun to watch until it disappeared in the playoffs.

Let's see a quick comparison of the first month (March/April) of the 2023 season versus the first month of 2026.

2023: .255/.335/.448, 46 doubles, 41 home runs, 131 RBI, .783 OPS
2026: .274/.340/.455, 49 doubles, 37 home runs, 146 RBI, .795 OPS

It's incredible how similar these stat lines are. There are still days left in April, so the team could finish the month even stronger than 2023. Tim Hyers seems to have finally broken through to the offense and gotten everyone back on track. Health is another major factor in this, however. Most of the offense has remained healthy, and that's allowed them to be at their best.

Walt Weiss also has the philosophy of the team not being reliant on home runs to score. That mindset shift has certainly made a difference and has allowed them to score much more often. It's also interesting that changing that mindset has inadvertently led to the Braves hitting just as many home runs as they were before. They have the second-most homers in baseball behind the Dodgers.

The entire coaching staff should be commended for helping Atlanta achieve the best record in baseball by April 23rd. Things could always change in an instant, but it has been incredibly fun to watch so far.
