On just the third pitch of the game, Ronald Acuna Jr. quickly put to rest any concerns fans may have had over the lower back injury that forced him to miss the series opener against the A's. It was an impressive leadoff home run that eased any worries fans may have had for Acuna Jr.'s health going forward.

Back injuries are always worrisome for good reason, but with how Ronald looked on Wednesday night it is quite clear that the Braves were just being overly cautious with RAJ on Tuesday.

Ronald Acuña Jr.'s back seems to be just fine and Braves fans can breath easy

Acuna Jr. suffered the discomfort in his back while lifting weights before Tuesday's game. However, one good night of sleep seemed to be all Acuna Jr. as he put together an impressive performance in game two of the series.

In the fourth inning, Acuna Jr. hit his second homer of the game on a pitch that was nearly in the left-hand batter's box. Ronald's latest amazing game helped Atlanta snap their losing skid and rout the A's by a 9-2 score as the rest of the bats finally woke up and hit for some power. Acuna Jr.'s season slugging percentage is now over .600 and he is carrying a 194 wRC+ after his two homer game on Wednesday.

His back tightness being a one day ailment is great news for fans looking for reasons to tune in to watch an otherwise lifeless Braves team. For Ronald Acuna Jr., it's great individually as him looking this good should allow him to follow through on his Home Run Derby and All-Star game participation. Hopefully this initial concern will be a distant memory and Ronald can finish 2025 with a clean bill of health. If he's able to do that, there's no telling what kind of impressive numbers the former MVP can put up.
