Four home runs in three games from Ronald Acuña Jr. is giving Atlanta Braves fans memories of his 2023 MVP campaign. Saturday night was a vintage Acuña performance, as the Braves right fielder hit two home runs and stole two bases against the Reds.
We have been waiting for this version of Ronald all year, and it seems he is on his way to one his trademark heaters. After Acuña's home run barrage this week he raised his wRC+ to 124, approaching heights that compare more closely to his career norms.
Few things in baseball are as exciting as a locked in Ronald Acuña Jr., and it appears that is exactly what we are about to get. It's exciting to think about the Braves having the best record in baseball without capital letters Acuña Jr. showing up yet. If this week is any indication, Braves fans could be in for a real treat in the month of June.

Ronald Acuña Jr. heating up could signal he is finally ready to lead the Braves offense
A slow start for Acuña Jr. still offers better offensive production than most Major Leaguers thanks to his on-base prowess. Thankfully, the power has begun to return for the Braves right fielder this week. Homers in three straight games is giving every Braves fan flashbacks to his unforgettable homer streak during his rookie season.
The Braves have gotten contributions from unexpected sources this season, but there is no denying when Acuña Jr. is the driving force of the lineup Atlanta's offense feels much more dynamic. He showcased as much with his game-altering grand slam in Boston, and his speed on the bases against Cincinnati.
Acuña Jr. has been one of the unluckiest hitters in baseball in 2026, so perhaps some positive regression is headed his way. However, he is squaring up baseballs at a rate right now that luck is being taken out of the equation. It's been a bit longer than anyone expected, but Braves fans are thrilled to have him back.
