Watch Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper suffer a hilarious fail

Blooper, the Braves mascot, is the best mascot in baseball, but that doesn't mean he's immune from some embarrassing moments. That was no more apparent than at Monday's Atlanta Hawks game when Blooper attempted to perform a dunk off of a trampoline.

It did not go well...

Blooper made a guest appearance along with several other mascots at a Hawks mascot party. He wasn't the only mascot to attempt a dunk, as Buzz, the Georgia Tech mascot, also tried and missed. But his miss was far more memorable.

As soon as the Hawks posted this video, users were quick to dunk on the fallen mascot.

While many users were using the moment to disprove Blooper's claim that he was "a peak athletic specimen," the Braves mascot used it as a moment to prove that it was actually further evidence of his athletic prowess (there's nothing you can do about it).

A few minutes later, Blooper went on to explain that he's the Braves' physical comedian, a role that is necessary for every successful team. And who could deny that Blooper is among the greatest physical comedians to ever live? Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Rowan Atkinson, and Blooper are on everyone's top 4 list, with the ordering being the only debate (he's number 1 on mine).

It's hard not to believe Blooper's daredevil abilities, either. After all, he parachuted into Game 1 of the 2022 NLDS with ease. If Blooper meant to "fail" a stunt, he certainly knew the most entertaining way to do so.

Unfortunately, being among the greatest physical comedians to ever exist comes with a price. While Blooper walked away from his stunt seemingly unharmed, the morning was not kind to Bloopy.

Hopefully Blooper recovers quickly, the Braves will need his athletic prowess and physical comedy when the season opens up in just under 100 days.
