Of all the possible Atlanta Braves outfield targets, there simply isn't one answer to fix this offense. Yes, the team can greatly improve and there are better offensive options on the market. However, if the season is going to turn around it isn't going to be because of deadline additions alone.

Matt Olson and the middle of the Braves order must return to life. Finding a way to resemble the 2023 form that had expectations so high going into the season. For that to happen the team is going to need a mix of the right deadline additions and young players turning into surprise contributors.

With this in mind, looking at possible outfield targets one name stands out as a clear offensive fit in Colorado's Charlie Blackmon. The longtime Rockies outfielder is in the final year of his deal and has better offensive production than any of Atlanta's current starting options.

Charlie Blackmon should be an affordable option that would have a day-one offensive impact

Blackmon would give the Braves another lefty bat to pair with Duvall and a player who is in the middle of his worst season which should keep his price tag down. You are buying low on a thirty-eight-year-old veteran who is a career .294 hitter. Blackmon isn't fixing the lineup alone but goes a long way in improving your ceiling.

If Kelenic can bounce back, you have two starting spots locked in allowing Snitker to ride the hot hand between Rosario and Duvall. The option is obviously there as well for the team to add another bat beyond just Blackmon bumping one or both of the Atlanta veterans off the roster.

Charlie Blackmon isn't a long-term solution and that is exactly why this makes so much sense. The Braves have Ozuna locked in at DH and three starting outfielders already under contract in 2025. The team doesn't need to go out and add a star player who is going to be a part of their long-term plans.

They simply need to look at the best rental fits that help jumpstart this offense and help give the team a prayer of surviving deep into October. Of all the options Blackmon has the most sustained success and would offer the Braves an instant solution that could help a sluggish offense.
