Remaining a World Series contender
2021-22: RHP Kenley Jansen
Coming off their World Series, the Braves also made other signings this offseason such as Collin McHugh and Jackson Stephens, but the biggest was likely Jansen. In what was his lone season in Atlanta, Jansen posted a 5-2 record with a 3.38 ERA and 85:22 K:BB ratio across 64 IP, while also leading the NL with 41 saves.
2022-23: RHP Jesse Chavez
Last offseason, the Braves also signed the likes of Nick Anderson and Kevin Pillar, with arguably the biggest signing being Chavez. Across 34.2 IP, Chavez went 1-0 with a 1.56 ERA and 39:12 K:BB ratio out of the Braves bullpen.
2023-24: RHP Reynaldo Lopez
The Braves biggest free agent signing of this offseason was likely Lopez. Lopez is coming off a 2023 season in which he held a combined 3-7 record with a 3.27 ERA and 83:34 K:BB ratio across 66 IP, as well as amassing six saves.
