The Atlanta Braves were able to hold on and win game two of their series with the Reds 7-6 on Saturday afternoon. It's been a series filled with tons of offense and both teams have made late-inning attempts at a comeback win.

Matt Olson reached a milestone of 200 career home runs during Saturday's game and Ozzie Albies notched career RBI number 400. Fans were treated to a cycle by Reds rookie sensation Elly De La Cruz during Friday night's game

Safe to say that Sunday's rubber match will be more of the same. This series with Cincinnati has been surprisingly fun to watch.

Starters for Braves at Reds

Charlie Morton will take the helm for Atlanta in game three and looks to earn his seventh win of the year. He is currently 6-6 with a 3.71 ERA over 80 innings pitched. Morton last took the mound against the Rockies and tossed 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits including 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.

Charlie has been prone to giving up home runs so that's something to keep an eye on in this game. There has been no shortage of home runs between either team as Great American Ball Park doubles as a launching pad.

Morton will be opposed by Levi Stoudt, who has only appeared in two MLB games so far in 2023. His first outing came against Tampa on April 19th where he allowed seven runs on nine hits. The most recent appearance he had was against the Marlins on May 13th. Miami scored one run on three hits over three innings of work from Stoudt.

It feels like Sunday's game is going to be yet another slugfest between two of the best offenses in baseball over the last 7 days. Cincinnati has a .283 team average versus the Braves' .299 average. Cincinnati has a .976 OPS in that time frame and the Braves are just behind them at a .935 OPS.
