The daily trivia game ‘Immaculate Grid’ has been a fun and exciting challenge for baseball fans. We wanted to create something similar related to the Atlanta Braves. Welcome to House That Hank Built’s latest series: Guessing random Atlanta Braves players from the past! Take the opportunity to participate in our daily guessing game every morning at 3:00 PM EST. We will give you five hints at a random player who donned an Atlanta Braves jersey and see if you can guess from there! Have fun and no cheating! Here we go! 

Hint #1: This player spent a total of 10 seasons in the MLB. During this time, he made appearances for the following teams: Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Guardians, Miami Marlins, and Atlanta Braves 

Hint #2: During his 10 seasons in the big leagues, this player wore the following jersey numbers: 35, 22, 11, 13 and 18. He wore 11 with the Braves.

Hint #3: This player earned no individual awards during his time in the MLB. He was never an all-star, nor did he win a World Series. 

Hint #4: This player was with the Braves in 2008 and part of 2009. He appeared in 130 games during this stretch and hit .267 with 8 home runs and 61 home runs. 

Hint #5: This player was a first baseman who hit left-handed and threw left-handed. He left the MLB after the 2013 season at just 30 years of age.

Answer: Casey Kotchman 

Casey Kotchman began his MLB career in 2004 with the Angels. He came to the Atlanta Braves in 2008 and performed about as expected. 

Kotchman was a prime example of an experienced player who performed well enough to keep his job but never really stood out. Kotchman only appeared in 130 games with the Braves across two seasons. 

Casey Kotchman was in the big leagues for 10 total seasons. Half of that time he was with the Angels organization. Atlanta was the only other team he spent more than one season with.
