The daily trivia game ‘Immaculate Grid’ has been a fun and exciting challenge for baseball fans. We wanted to create something similar related to the Atlanta Braves. Welcome to House That Hank Built’s latest series: Guessing random Atlanta Braves players from the past! Take the opportunity to participate in our daily guessing game every morning at 3:00 pm EST. We will give you five hints at a random player who donned an Atlanta Braves jersey and see if you can guess from there! Have fun and no cheating! Here we go! 

Hint #1 (Career Length): This player spent a total of 15 seasons in the MLB. During this time, he made appearances for the following teams: St. Louis Cardinals, Florida Marlins, Kansas City Royals, Cincinatti Reds and Atlanta Braves.

Hint #2 (Jersey Numbers): During his 15 seasons in the big leagues, this player wore the following jersey numbers: 9, 5 and 6.  He wore 9 for the Atlanta Braves.

Hint #3 (Individual Accolades): This player was the Most Valuable Player in 1991. He won three Gold Glove Awards, was an all-star once and won the batting title in 1991.

Hint #4 (Braves Stats): This player was with the Braves from 1991-1994 and for a few games in 1996. With the Braves, he hit .287 with 71 home runs and 322 runs batted in.

Hint #5 (Random Fact): This player ended his playing career after the 1998 season. Shortly after, he joined the Atlanta Braves coaching staff as the hitting coach and later tranistioned to bench coach/first base coach.

Answer: Terry Pendleton

Terry Pendelton began his MLB career in 1984 at the age of 23 with the St. Louis Cardinals. From 1991-1994, Pendelton wore a Braves jersey and played third base.

This was not the only time Pendelton made contributions to the Braves organization. Following his playing days, he shared his knowledge by joining Atlana's coaching staff. He may have spent more time with the Cardinals as a player but TP will always be associated with the Braves more.
