Answer: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Jarrod Saltalamacchia came up through the Atlanta Braves farm system and made his debut in 2007 at the age of 22. After just 47 games, Saltalamacchia was moved to the Texas Rangers.
Over his entire 12-season career, he was a .232 hitter with 110 home runs and 381 runs batted in. His offense was somewhat respectable but his defense is what kept him in the league for over a decade.
"Salty" may not have lived up to the hype Braves fans had heard about in his younger days but to have a 12-year MLB career, primarily as a catcher, he had to be doing something right.
