Welcome to House That Hank Built’s latest series: Guessing random Atlanta Braves players from the past! Take the opportunity to participate in our daily guessing game every morning at 3:00 pm EST. We will give you five hints at a random player who donned an Atlanta Braves jersey and see if you can guess from there! Have fun and no cheating! Here we go! 

Hint #1 (Career Length): This player spent a total of 13 seasons in the MLB. During this time, he made appearances for the following teams: Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies  and Atlanta Braves 

Hint #2 (Jersey Numbers): During his 13 seasons in the big leagues, this player wore the following jersey numbers: 30, 28, 24, 25, 29 and 27. He wore 30 with the Braves.

Hint #3 (Individual Accolades): This player did not make any All-Star appearances nor did he win a World Series. He did finish 17th in MVP voting twice in his career. 

Hint #4 (Braves Stats): This player was with the Braves from 1984-1985. He was not a power hitter as he only had two home runs and 10 runs batted in in his time with Atlanta. 

Hint #5 (Random Fact): This player was an outfielder and had three different nicknames. He was sometimes referred to as Papa Thompson, Uncle Milty and Scooter.

Answer: Milt Thompson 

Milt Thompson began his MLB career with the Atlanta Braves in 1984 at the age of 25. He only spent two seasons with the Braves and appeared in 98 games. 

Over this stretch, he was a .302 hitter with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. Thompson also swiped 23 bases with the Braves.
