Answer: Greg Maddux

Greg Maddux began his Hall of Fame career with the Chicago Cubs in 1986. After 23 seasons, he had pieced together one of the best careers a starting pitcher had ever had.

Maddux pitched over 5,000 innings during his time in the big leagues. He posted a 3.16 ERA over those two decades and some change. More impressively, he walked less than 1,000 batters (999) and struck out well over 3,000 (3,371).

Greg Maddux is one of the best to ever set foot on a mound and proved it in his extensive career.
