The weekly trivia game ‘Immaculate Grid’ has been a fun and exciting challenge for baseball fans. We wanted to create something similar related to the Atlanta Braves. Welcome to House That Hank Built’s latest series: Guessing random Atlanta Braves players from the past! Please take the opportunity to participate in our weekly guessing game. We will give you five hints at a random player who donned an Atlanta Braves jersey and see if you can guess from there! Have fun and no cheating! Here we go! 

Hint #1 (Career Length): This player has spent a total of 9 seasons in the MLB. During this time, he has made appearances for the following teams: Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves. 

Hint #2 (Jersey Numbers): During his 9 seasons in the big leagues, this player wore the following jersey numbers: 14, 30, 34, 21 and 19. He wore both 14 and 19 with the Braves.

Hint #3 (Individual Accolades): This player was never an All-Star nor did he receive any individual awards. However, he did finish 4th in NL Rookie of the Year voting back in 1991.

Hint #4 (Braves Stats): This player was with the Braves from 1991-1993 and then again in 1999-2000. During this time, he hit .236 with 33 home runs, and 130 runs batted in.

Hint #5 (Random Fact): This player was a first baseman and left fielder who hit right-handed but threw with his left hand.

Brian Hunter began his MLB career in 1991 with the Atlanta Braves at age 23. He finished 4th in Rookie of the Year voting that season and showed a lot of promise.

However, Hunter ended up bouncing around a lot in his nine years in the league and ended up compiling a pretty underwhelming career hitting .234 and spending a lot of time as a backup.
