We will give you five hints at a random player that donned an Atlanta Braves jersey and see if you can guess from there! Have fun and no cheating! You either know it or you don’t. Here we go!

Hint #1: This player spent a total of 8 seasons in the MLB. During that time, he made appearances for the following teams: the Atlanta Braves, the Washington Nationals, and Philadelphia Phillies. It is pretty interesting to think this player spent all his time in the same division.

Hint #2: This player wore jersey numbers: 4, 24, 5 and 12.

Hint #3: This player has a career batting average of .257 with only 3 home runs and 46 runs batted in over his eight seasons. He may have been in the big leagues just shy of a decade but he was not on the field that much.

Hint #4: This player’s primary positions include: second base, third base, and pinch hitter. Oftentimes he did not start games but was a left handed bat brought off the bench to hit for the pitcher (back when pitchers hit in the National League).

Hint #5: Although he was an MLB player for 8 seasons, this player only appeared in a total of 443 games. In 2005, he appeared in 112 games for the Atlanta Braves and 102 the following season. After that, the most games he played in a season for the rest of his career was 57.

Answer: Pete Orr

Pete Orr was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 1997 draft. He was selected in the 39th round out of high school but did not make his MLB debut until 2005. He was with the Atlanta Braves from 2005-2007 where he played in a total of 271 games.

Orr hit .263 during that span with 2 home runs and 18 runs batted in. He also totaled five triples and stole 10 bases in those three seasons. Safe to say that he was a contact hitter with a little speed rather than a power threat.
