Answer: Lyle Overbay
Lyle Overbay was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1999 in the 18th round out of the University of Nevada. He made his MLB debut at the age of 24 back in 2001.
Overbay was one of those players that did just enough to keep a job in the big leagues but was never a standout player. The game needs more players like Overbay who can hold down a 14 year career and help his teams win by doing the little things.
It is no secret that he did not help the Braves win that much, mainly because of how short his stint was in Atlanta.
He only had 20 total at bats and only two of those resulted in base hits. No home runs, no runs batted in, and he struck out eight times. Safe to say this is a name not many Braves fans remember.
