Brandon Phillips was drafted by the Montreal Expos out of high school in the 2nd round of the 1999 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut on September 13, 2002, and played his last big league game on September 30, 2018.

Phillips spent the 2017 season with the Atlanta Braves to fill in the gap at second base until Ozzie Albies was ready for the big stage. Phillips hit .291 that season with 11 home runs and drove in 52 runs. He is another player who spent a very short amount of time with the Atlanta Braves but created some fond memories and helped build the bridge to the current success of the organization.
