Answer: Dave Martinez

Dave Martinez began his MLB career as a player in 1986 when he was 21 years of age. He bounced around from team to team and ended up with the Atlanta Braves in 2001, his final season in the big leagues.

In 2001 for Atlanta, Martinez appeared in 120 games. He hit .287 with 2 home runs and 20 runs batted in. Power may not have been his forte, but his batting average was nothing to sneeze at. This is a former Braves player who is easily forgotten because of the short stint.

Martinez has now been the Braves' rival since 2018 when he took over as manager for the Washington Nationals. He is still currently the Nationals manager and is well respected by many across the league.
