The Atlanta Braves dominated the New York Mets on Friday night, kicking off the weekend series with a 7-0 victory. They will look to get two more wins in one day on Saturday with the Mets hosting a doubleheader at Citi Field.
Game 1
The first game of the day/night doubleheader will start at 1:10 p.m. ET. The Braves will hand the ball to strikeout machine, Spencer Strider (12-4, 3.94 ERA). Strider is coming off of a rough outing where he was unable to escape the 2nd inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jose Quintana (0-3, 3.42) will attempt to tame the Atlanta offense that seemed to return to form in game one of the series.

Game 2
Game two of Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET on FOX. Allan Winans will be making his second big league start for the Braves and his first since facing the Brewers back on July 22nd. Coincidentally, that game was also on FOX.
Winans was once a part of the Mets organization and was drafted by them back in 2018. The Braves ended up acquiring Winans in the 2021 Rule 5 Draft after New York decided not to protect him. So, he will go out there with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
The Mets starter is TBD for game two for now.
