As the calender begins to flip toward an important month of September for the Atlanta Braves, let's not forget what has overall been a solid August for the organization.

After a rough start to the month, Atlanta has come roaring back during the last two weeks, and now own a combined 10-3 record since August 17.

With numerous names behind the reason for the Braves success, here are some of Atlanta's top performers from the month of August.

Raisel Iglesias, Chris Sale among best performing Atlanta Braves during August

Raisel Iglesias, Right-Handed Pitcher

August Stats: 3-0, 0.00 ERA, 14:0 K:BB ratio, 6 saves, .049 AVG against across 13.1 IP

Undoubtedly the top Braves player during August was Iglesias, who had about as good a month that a reliever could have. The Braves closer has made 11 appearances for the Braves during August so far, a span in which he owns a 3-0 record with a perfect 0.00 ERA and 14:0 K:BB ratio across 13.1 IP, while also owning six saves.

Chris Sale, Left-Handed Pitcher

August Stats: 2-0, 2.05 ERA, 42:6 K:BB ratio, .281 AVG against across 30.2 IP

Sale continued to make a push for the NL Cy Young Award during August, as the left-hander was the No. 1 starter for the Braves during the month. After beginning the month with three-straight double-digit strikeout performances, Sale concluded August with a 2-0 record, a 2.05 ERA, and a 42:6 K:BB ratio across 30.2 IP.

Marcell Ozuna, Designated Hitter

August stats: .337/.397/.567 slash line, .964 OPS, 6 HR, 14 RBI, 6 SB across 27 games

Ozuna continued to be one of baseball's best at the plate during August, slashing .337/.397/.567 over 27 games. The Braves designated hitter also held a .964 OPS with six HR, 14 RBI, and six SB during that span.

Matt Olson, First Baseman

August Stats: .265/.345/.588 slash line, .933 OPS, 8 HR, 26 RBI, 9 2B across 27 games

After struggling across other parts of the season, Olson fully came alive in August where he was one of the top hitters in all of baseball alongside Ozuna. Across 27 games, Olson slashed .265/.345/.588 for the Braves, as well as having hit eight HR and 26 RBI with a pair of multi-HR games.

Ramon Laureano, Outfielder

August Stats: .342/.383/.579 slash line, .962 OPS, 5 HR, 10 RBI, 2 SB, 3 2B across 25 games

Among the offensive MVP's for Atlanta in August was also Laureano, who had easily his top month of the 2024 season. Across 25 games, the veteran outfielder has slashed .342/.383/.579, a line which translates to a .962 OPS, while also having hit five HR with 10 RBI.

Reynaldo Lopez, Right-Handed Pitcher

August Stats: 0-0, 1.64 ERA, 17:4 K:BB ratio, .200 AVG against across 11 IP

Lopez has returned from the injured list in a big way this month, albeit making only two starts for the Braves. Across those 11 IP, the right-hander has posted a 1.64 ERA and 17:4 K:BB ratio, while also limiting opponents to a combined .200 AVG against.

Dylan Lee, Left-Handed Pitcher

August Stats: 1-0, 2.25 ERA, 13:2 K:BB ratio, .111 AVG against across 8 IP

Lee has been a reliable left-handed reliever in the Braves bullpen during August, owning a 1-0 record with a 2.25 ERA and 13:2 K:BB ratio across eight IP. Over that span, Lee is also limiting opponents to a combined .111 AVG against, as well as owning three holds.

Jorge Soler, Outfielder

Even despite missing some time due to injury, Soler's first month back in an Atlanta Braves uniform was a successful one for the former World Series MVP. Across 21 games, Soler has posted a slash line of .210/.364/.484 with five HR and 12 RBI.

Spencer Schwellenbach, Right-Handed Pitcher

August Stats: 1-1, 3.07 ERA, 42:8 K:BB ratio, .216 AVG against across 29.1 IP

The rookie right-hander had arguably his best single-month since making his MLB debut, making five starts for the Braves. Over that span, Schwellenbach has broken out and posted a 1-1 record with a 3.07 ERA and 42:8 K:BB ratio across 29.1 IP, while also limiting opponents to a combined .216 AVG against.

Whit Merrifield, Second Baseman

August Stats: .258/.361/.376 slash line, .737 OPS, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 3 SB, 4 2B, 2 3B across 27 games

We conclude with Merrifield, who, similar to Soler previously, has also enjoyed a solid first month with the Braves. Merrifield has appeared in 27 games this month for Atlanta, slashing .258/.361/.376 with a HR, two RBI, and three SB, as well as owning a 5-for-5 game offensively.
