The Atlanta Braves were able to win game two of their series with the Diamondbacks on Saturday evening. Spencer Strider looked good again and Eddie Rosario continued his hot streak offensively. Rosario is 5-for-8 with 2 HR and 3 RBI in this series in Arizona.

Rosario is batting .400 in his last 7 games and that is a good sign as fans have been waiting for Eddie to break out of his slump an return to that 2021 postseason form. He will get another opportunity in Arizona to continue that great work. Game three will feature a great pitching matchup so it will be a little more of a challenge.

Starters for Braves at Diamondbacks Game Three

Michael Soroka will take the mound for Atlanta for his second start of the 2023 season. His first start of the season was spoiled by Oakland. He went six innings allowing four runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

The positive is that he went six innings and looked good for the most part. That's all fans could ask for after missing Major League action for two seasons due to an Achilles injury. He will face a very good Diamondbacks offense this time around but it's nice to see Soroka back on the mound for Atlanta.

Atlanta will face-off against Zac Gallen, who has been one of Arizona's best pitchers in 2023. He is 7-2 with a 2.72 ERA over 72.2 innings pitched. He last pitched against the Rockies and went 6 innings allowing no runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Gallen is basically untouchable when pitching at home with a 0.66 ERA. It will be tough for Atlanta but Gallen has struggled with fastball command early in games but he clearly is figuring some things out and has improved his slider and curveball. The Braves offense certainly has a challenge on their hands in the series finale.
