It was a relatively quiet day on Friday for the Atlanta Braves with the notable exception of the news regarding Max Fried's arbitration hearing which we posted about earlier this morning. We can expect some news regarding Fried's arbitration sometime today, so make sure to keep an eye on the site for that news.

We did not stay idle over here at the House That Hank Built, however. For starters, Matt decided to give us a look at a few potential options for the Braves first round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Is it really early to start looking at the draft? Maybe, but its fun to think about now and continually talk about in the months ahead.

Elsewhere on the site, we had the final staff pre-season roundtable article go up and this one was getting our predictions in for how far the Braves were going to get in the postseason this coming season. While anything can happen once you get into the playoffs, we are still pretty bullish on the Braves' chances in 2023.

It was a little bit more eventful with the rest of the league yesterday. For starters, we had a trade as the White Sox acquired Franklin German from the Boston Red Sox to deepen their bullpen. The White Sox haven't exactly had a banner offseason, so it was nice to see them, you know, do something and German had a really strong minor league season in 2022.

Looking at the minor leagues, ESPN put out a list of bold predictions for the top prospects around baseball. Sadly, there were no Braves prospects mentioned because the Braves' young players are too busy chasing championships in the big leagues, but it is fair to say that ESPN's staff really, really likes both Gunnar Henderson and Corbin Carroll. They should.
