The Atlanta Braves have recently made two free agent signings at the minor league level.
Across the past two weeks, the Atlanta Braves have made two new additions at the lower levels of the organization by signing Carter Rees and Jose Marcano to minor league deals. According to the club's transactions log, Rees was signed back on March 29, while Marcano joined the organization on April 3.

Beginning with Rees, the 20-year-old right-hander is coming off a 2023 season in which he made 11 total appearances with the West Virginia Black Bears of the MLB Draft League. With each of those 11 appearances having been out of the bullpen, Rees owned a 2-0 record with a 0.59 ERA and 23:9 K:BB ratio across 15.1 IP.
At seasons end, Rees would sign a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Angels organization back in August of 2023, but did not record any stats with the club prior to being released a few weeks ago on March 21, 2024.
As for Marcano, the 19-year-old was originally signed to a minor league deal by the New York Mets back in May of 2021, and has since appeared in a combined 53 games across the past three years with the DSL Mets. Across those 53 games, Marcano, a catcher, slashed a combined .258/.326/.331 with one HR, 19 RBI, and 11 SB.
Marcano was officially released by the Mets back in November of 2023, and, as mentioned previously, was signed by Atlanta on April 3.
According to the Atlanta Braves transactions log, both of Rees and Marcano were assigned to the FCL Braves, with each having yet to appear in a game so far this season. Both will also likely spend the entirity of the 2024 season in the lower levels of the Braves organization, seeing time in either Rookie Ball or Low-A.
