The Atlanta Braves introduced its 2023 Nike City Connect uniforms on Monday morning via Twitter. The new uniform will debut Saturday, April 8 during the team's home opening weekend against the Padres.

Nike has been slowly releasing City Connect uniforms for every team since 2021 and the Braves are the 15th club overall and first in 2023 to unveil its special edition uniforms.

Breaking down the Braves' City Connect Uniforms

As an homage to the Hank Aaron 1970s uniforms, the jersey is white with royal blue sleeves. In place of the iconic feathers, the sleeves instead have diamonds, which are marketed as "the peak of the crown," to honor Hank Aaron.

The front of the jersey uses the Braves' uppercase A on the front right, prefaced by a red script "the" instead of the standard Braves script. "For The A" has been the team's rallying cry in recent years. "Keep swinging away #44," a motto of Aaron's sewn on the jock tag.

The left side of the jersey includes the Nike logo and front numbers. The inner collar has 715 as it was displayed on the scoreboard at Fulton County Stadium the night Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's record.

The back of the jersey features red lettering for the name-on-back and blue numbers outlined in white and blue.

The Braves also have City Connect theme socks, which features the diamond design, with the 715 scoreboard pattern and "The A" rallying cry.

The cap is a white multi-color panel similar to the hat worn in the 1970s, but instead of the lowercase "a" in red, it's the uppercase A in blue, outlined in red. The underbill of the cap is green (a throwback to the underbill color in the 70s), with the "keep swinging away #44," motto embroidered.

The Braves will wear this uniform every Saturday home game in 2023.
