Every year Braves Fest serves as the perfect springboard to get Atlanta Braves fans excited for the upcoming season. The 2024 edition of Braves Fest turned out to be no different. There were countless moments and quotes that fired Braves country up, and had all of us counting the days down until pitchers and catchers report.
Things kicked off with Braves ace, Spencer Strider, giving a mic drop of a quote surrounding expectations for the upcoming season. In a less serious soundbite, fans got a chance to hear about which player is the most liked, to no surprise we found out it's hard to dislike uncle Charlie Morton.
Newest Brave has high praise for offense
Out of all the players in Major League Baseball, none may have been a bigger winner this offseason than one Jared Kelenic. Coming to an organization that has been winning for awhile now thanks to a dynamic offense, has given Kelenic the confidence that 2024 can be a special year for him.
Fried comments on his future
The long dragged out Max Fried impending free agency saga got another quote during Braves Fest as well. This time it was directly for the source himself. Fried spoke about how much respected how Alex Anthopoulos and the front office worked in silence. He also went on to say how much he has enjoyed his time in Atlanta, and how excited he is to grind 162 games with this group.
Hopefully this isn't a farewell statement and swan song for Max in 2024, but if it is what a ride it has been. Fried said the contract is out of his control, and it seems he is destined for free agency, but that doesn't mean 2024 will be the last we see of Fried in a Braves uniform.
