Over the last couple of weeks, we have taken a look at some names at every infield position that the Atlanta Braves should consider targeting in the upcoming 2024 MLB Draft. Now, we officially round out the infield picture today with third base.

Similar to a few positions mentioned previously, third base is not necessarily the biggest need for the club entering this year's draft, solely due to Austin Riley having secured the position going forward.

However, due to the presence of the DH spot, it is still possible that the Braves take a look at the third base position this July, possibly even in the upper rounds. Should they do so, here are three names that they should have their eyes on.

3 third basemen the Atlanta Braves should target in 2024 MLB Draft

Billy Amick (Tennessee)

After batting for a .413 AVG at Clemson in 2023, Amick transferred to Tennessee this past offseason where he went on to slash .307/.389/.645 with 23 HR and 65 RBI for the national champions over the spring. A player who has also seen time defensively at first base, Amick is likely to come off the board at some point within the first round, and could be an intriguing option for the Braves at pick No. 24.

Gage Miller (Alabama)

Yet another collegiate prospect to watch for from the SEC is Miller, who has likely cemented himself to be selected in the first couple of rounds after a stellar lone season at Alabama. After transferring from JUCO, Miller slashed .381/.474/.702 with 18 HR and 56 RBI, and brings experience at multiple different infield spots defensively.

Dub Gleed (UC Irvine)

Lastly, an intriguing name to keep an eye on outside of the first three rounds is Gleed, who saw time at every infield position across the past three seasons at UC Irvine. Holding a career .856 OPS over that span, Gleed is also coming off arguably his best collegiate season at UC Irvine where he slashed .351/.469/.550 with six HR and 35 RBI.

Could any of these three names find themselves in the Atlanta Braves organization after the 2024 MLB Draft? If not, here are a few additional third basemen that the Braves could target in the upper rounds: Carson DeMartini (Virginia Tech), Kale Fountain (Norris, NE), Robert Hipwell (Santa Clara)
