The Atlanta Braves offense will be under a microscope in just a few days as postseason baseball gets underway on Tuesday. Previous playoff performances leave a lot to be desired from Atlanta's offense, but fans are hopeful 2026 will be different.
If the Braves are going to advance in October, getting production from the stars in their lineup seems like a requirement. Thankfully, Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, and Drake Baldwin have all heated up at exactly the right time. However, that trio of hitters often overshadows perhaps the biggest swing batter in Atlanta's lineup.
Michael Harris II is enjoying a bounce back 2026 campaign and has been one of Atlanta's most consistent hitters all season. After a 4-5 performance on Saturday, Harris raised his wRC+ to 121. It's easy to forget, but the last time the Braves were in the playoffs Michael Harris was one of the few hitters to show up in San Diego. If money Mike can repeat his last playoff performance, the Braves have a great chance of reaching the NLDS.

Michael Harris II is on fire and the Braves can reach another level if he continues that in October
Over his last 15 games, Harris sports a .355/.375/.516 slash line. The Braves centerfielder has shown that he can handle tough pitching all season long, and he has a track record of performing in the clutch throughout his young career thus far.
Harris runs a 123 wRC+ and .834 OPS in high leverage situations for his career, both marks that are higher than his career s low leverage and medium leverage numbers. Nearly every moment in postseason baseball feels like a high leverage moment, and thankfully it looks as if Harris will feel right at home during those moments.
Finishing the year with his highest wRC+ and fWAR since his NL Rookie of the Year campaign, Harris has somehow flown a bit under the radar nationally for much of the season. With stars like Acuńa, Olson, and Sale on the team, it's easy to see how that can happen. Maybe this is the time for Harris to remind folks that he has been cashing in these run scoring opportunities for the majority of the season.
Plenty of fans dream on the feel good bounce back stories that playoff baseball can provide, but time and time again we see how players who were consistent throughout the season can keep carrying the load in October.
