The Atlanta Braves are known to have one of the best clubhouse cultures in Major League Baseball. Atlanta's front office takes great care each offseason and trade deadline to ensure they bring in quality players who mix well with the organizational culture.
There are plenty of vibrant personalities on the current Braves roster who help keep things loose during the season. It can be hard to get through the hurdles a 162-game season can throw at you.
Matt Olson recently appeared on MLB Network and spoke on his time in Atlanta so far, as well as his spring experience in 2025. Matt Vasgersian brought up that there always seems to be one loud voice in camp that everyone seems to hear. Vasgersian asked Olson who that voice was in Braves camp.
Matt Olson reveals the loudest voices in camp include the usual suspects
Olson's response was exactly what Braves fans would have expected. "We kind of got a group. It's made up of Acuña, Ozuna, Arcia and Ozzie. It's nonstop."

Every season, that group of players is always seen cutting up together. It isn't surprising to hear they're the most active voices in camp. Vasgersian also asked Olson if he speaks Spanish and he said just a little bit. Olson continued, "I would say, it's not good. They can absolutely talk some trash behind my back without me knowing. But I'll catch a couple of phrases here and there and chime in when I can."
I imagine it would be hard to not have a good time around that group. Teams need to have guys to turn to when things are tough to keep the mood light.
Harold Reynolds also asked the 10-year veteran about his mindset to make it through playing 162 games without a day off. Olson has played every game over the last three seasons and that's rare in today's game.
Reynolds was curious if Olson did anything differently to prepare. Olson said it's more of a team mindset and goal to try and be on the field daily. He also mentioned it's all about having a good offseason to get your body in the best place possible before grinding out the long season.
Durability is not something Braves fans have needed to worry about with Olson. He has been a great addition to the team. Last season was a struggle for him offensively but that down year still produced 29 homers, 98 RBI, and a 117 wRC+.
Olson will provide this team with great defense and slug a lot of home runs. There's something about even-numbered years that affect Matt's performance. With this season being an odd-numbered year, there's a chance we see a resurgence from the power-hitting first baseman.
