Opening Day is finally here and the Atlanta Braves kick things off on the road against the Padres in San Diego. The Padres ended Atlanta's season prematurely in the NL Wild Card Series and the Braves will be looking to get a little bit of revenge for that loss.
Chris Sale will take the mound for the Braves and he will oppose Michael King who absolutely carved through Atlanta's lineup last October. Sale went on to win his first NL Cy Young Award after an incredible season with 18 wins, a 2.38 ERA, and 225 strikeouts.
Atlanta's biggest offseason acquisition Jurickson Profar will also get to face his former team for the first time. Profar had the best year of his career last season with a .280 average, 24 homers, and 85 RBI.
Game one between the Braves and Padres will kick off at 4:10 p.m. EST on March 27th.

2024 was a disappointing and frustrating season for the Braves. No one could stay healthy and it became difficult to watch every day. It felt like someone suffered an injury each day. So the goal in 2025 will be to maintain health and return to the offensive powerhouse Atlanta was in 2023. In case you are curious as to how to watch the other Braves games to start the season, the team released a helpful graphic.

We recently released three bold predictions for the 2025 season with Opening Day just a few hours away. You can view those predictions here. Knowing the team will add Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna Jr. to the roster in a month will be something we all look forward to.
They both make a massive difference for this team and they'll be necessary if Atlanta wants to reach their goal of winning another World Series.
