Here are the strangest Atlanta Braves lineups for every season since 2018

Just because the Braves made the playoffs every year since 2018 doesn't mean they've had the best lineups every game.

2019

When he was in a Braves uniform, it took a village to get Freddie Freeman to take a day off. However, on August 4, 2019, management was somehow able to convince him to take a breather as the club faced off against the Cincinnati Reds.

In addition to Freeman's absence, Dansby Swanson was also out with a foot injury. Adam Duvall, who had spent the majority of the season in AAA, was slotted in to hit cleanup, while Austin Riley covered first base.

Of course, the lineups got weirder after the division was secured, like the one from Mines tweet, (and arguably weirder, the game from the day after), but a Freddie Freeman-less lineup with the division still on the line will take the top spot for 2019.

As for the game itself, the Braves weren't able to secure a W after tying it in the 9th on a Ronald Acuña homer, but the homer itself is still pretty amazing and is always worth a rewatch.

2020

Amazingly, even in a 60 game season, the Braves still had to navigate through with a few strange lineups. The weirdest of the season came when Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuña Jr. were both out with injuries.

On August 11 against the Yankees, the Braves had to scratch Acuña from the lineup, which left the team putting Marcell Ozuna in right field, Travis d'Arnaud hitting second and DHing, and Johan Camargo starting at second base.

To this day, this is the second-to-last time Ozuna has played right field, and the combination of d'Arnaud DHing and hitting second and Camargo playing second, this easily takes the cake as the weirdest lineup of 2020.
