This spring, every MLB hitter was remeasured thanks to the Automated Ball-Strike challenge system trials in spring training. This meant that each hitter would have a new, more accurate height listed than they had previously. This was good news for a few Atlanta Braves players who grew a bit, but bad news for nine hitters on the 40-man roster who shrank overnight.

We've questioned some heights of players on here before, but thanks to the new measurements, we had some of our suspicions confirmed.

Atlanta Braves who grew taller, according to MLB's new height measurements

Getting taller wasn't likely expected for most players, but two Braves actually discovered that they were a little taller than they were penning themselves down as.

Drake Baldwin: 6'0 (previous height: 5'10)

The expected Opening Day catcher for the Braves got a different surprise this spring. Instead of being 5'10, as previously listed, Drake Baldwin can now say he's a member of the six-foot club. While he's technically not on the 40-man roster right now, he'll need to be added if he is indeed on the Opening Day roster.

Eli White: 6'3 (previous height: 6'2)

Eli White entered the spring fighting for a roster spot. In addition to trying out the infield again, White also found out he is taller than Austin Riley.

Braves who shrunk

When most people lie about their height, it's usually to give themselves an extra inch or two, so it's not surprising that more Braves got shorter with the new measurements than taller. What is surprising is that half of the hitters on the club's 40-man shrunk.

Ozzie Albies: 5'7 (previous height 5'8)

While Ozzie Albies can still say he's taller than Ronald Torreyes, he is now unfortunately listed as shorter than the former Phillie. Instead of being listed at 5'8, the Braves second baseman will now have to admit that he's 5'7, even while Ronald Torreyes, who's no longer in professional baseball, can keep his listed 5'8 for the rest of his life.

Christian Cairo: 5'8 (previous height: 5'9)

The son of former big leaguer Miguel Cairo lost an inch in the measurements. We'll have to wait and see if the Rule 5 pick will be able to still squeeze by onto the big league roster.

Nacho Alvarez Jr.: 5'10 (previous height 5'11)

Nacho Alvarez Jr. has missed most of spring training with a wrist injury. While he was out, MLB revealed he was an inch shorter than previously listed.

Jarred Kelenic: 5'11 (previous height 6'1)

Jarred Kelenic is the biggest loser in terms of height lost. While the other Braves only had an inch shaved off their height, Kelenic lost two inches and his membership to the six-foot club.

Orlando Arcia: 5'11 (previous height 6'0)

Orlando Arcia also lost his membership to the six-foot club. The Braves shortstop will now have to use 2025 as a bounce back season for two reasons.

Jurickson Profar: 5'11 (previous height 6'0)

Jurickson Profar was the Braves big offseason addition, but it seems he's not as big as the Braves thought he was. Instead of being 6'0, Profar's new measurements revealed he was only 5'11.

Bryan De La Cruz: 6'1 (previous height 6'2)

Bryan De La Cruz lost an inch, but it doesn't seem to have deterred him this spring as he's slashed .333/.389/.424.

Austin Riley: 6'2 (previous height 6'3)

Young Thick Austin Riley can just say he's thicker than we thought, as he's now listed at 6'2 instead of 6'3.

Matt Olson: 6'4 (previous height 6'5)

Interestingly, the player Matt Olson replaced as the Braves cornerstone first baseman also went from being 6'5 to being 6'4.
