The Atlanta Braves season hasn't gotten off to the best start with two late-inning losses to the Padres. However, there have been some exciting moments and the wins will come with time.

Fans are always looking for something unique to tie to the team each season and team celebrations have become part of that. We've got a look at the new team celebration after some big hits already.

Atlanta Braves' new team celebration is a perfect fit for the 2025 season

Ozzie Albies hit the first home run of the season on Opening Day and unveiled a new celebration rounding the bases. He pointed two fingers up toward the sky and then moved them downward. Fans found out this stands for "Peace up, A-Town down."

This saying has long been associated with the city of Atlanta and was popularized by Usher's song "Yeah!" back in 2004.

It feels like a perfect choice for this squad and it's simple for everyone to catch on to. Atlanta's broadcast team touched on the new celebration and even asked who came up with the new choice.

Turns out it was Braves backup catcher Chadwick Tromp who suggested this become the new thing for 2025. Wiley Ballard mentioned on the broadcast that Michael Harris II stated he was kind of embarrassed he didn't come up with it himself, considering he's from the Atlanta area.

The Braves have featured some fun celebrations over the years but the one fans seem to remember the most was the swords. It's hard to forget Guillermo Heredia running around and swinging his pink-handled swords.

While this one is less flashy, it feels absolutely appropriate for a team that has underlying swagger. We've already seen that with Jurickson Profar. They have the confidence to perform at the highest level and this is an easy and fun way to celebrate their successes this season.

Atlanta is going to have to get into the win column eventually. The team has been hitting well but they've faltered in scoring opportunities. So far, they are1-16 with runners in scoring position and have left 16 runners on base.

That's something the Braves struggled with in 2024 so they've got to find a way to fix that. Yes, Dylan Lee left one bad pitch over the plate for a go-ahead home run, and ultimately, that doomed Atlanta. However, the Braves had multiple chances to put more runs on the board and couldn't.

They should find their groove soon and fans will get to see the new celebration in action more often.
